Friends, today’s tip is one that I think people forget about when working hard to get to the top. The real secret to happiness and success that you may not know is: Do what you love and the money will follow. You cannot fail by doing what you are passionate about.

What this means is quite simple – if you do things that you truly love, and are passionate about, money will come to you. Haven’t you ever noticed how many people are interviewed about their super successful business and start out by saying ” Well, I was doing this as a hobby in my garage, and pretty soon everyone in town wanted to buy this from me”.
There are plenty of stories like that out there. Why? They lived by one simple principle: Do what you love and the money will follow.

They didn’t set out to take over the world – they were just doing something they are really passionate about, and people flocked to them to buy the item. This is because they take pride in their work, do it as a labor of love, and truly are passionate about it. This is what it takes to really succeed. You must have real passion and real love for what you are doing.

If you consider your days sheer drudgery, I can assure you that being successful will be a long and exceptionally difficult process, and not very enjoyable along the way. The journey should be fun, not drudgery. Do what you love, and do it well. Don’t worry as much about the money – follow your passion. Do what you love and the money will follow in ways you cannot imagine. There are so many people who have created brand new industries and markets where none existed before, and many of them by accident. They did it because they had a passion for what they were doing – not for the money that could be made. If money is your sole focus, you will not be as happy. I find it more fun to focus on what you love doing, then find ways to make money doing it. It is more adventuresome, and a lot more fun.

The best way to start thinking about how to make this happen is simply this: sit back, close your eyes, and imagine what you would do with your time if you had unlimited funds. If you had so much money you could do whatever you wanted, what would that be? That is the best place to start, because that is something you are passionate about.

Also, consider your hobbies. Do you have any hobbies that you do for fun that people think are interesting? Perhaps you do some arts and crafts, or repair things, or something else. Whatever it is, think about how it could be turned into a business idea.

Remember, just because you cannot sell the item or trade itself doesn’t mean it cannot be profitable. You could teach small classes how to do the very thing you love to do, and charge a small fee for that.

If you find yourself in a rut, there are ways around that. I hope everyone will think about this for today – what do you love to do? I mean, what is your passion? What stirs fire in your soul? I bet if you list 5 things, you can make money with several of them easily.
