Dress For Success In Life
The way you dress can affect the way you appear to others, obviously, but it will also change the way you feel about yourself. Dress For Success In Life, Business, and Love!

Dress For Success
Think about this – if you ever got dressed up for an interview, a date, a night out on the town, or some other event, and noticed how great you looked, you might notice that you FEEL really great about yourself at that point too. You think you look sharp, so you carry your head higher, you maintain better posture, and you feel more confident.
This is the concept of this post – Dress For Success In Life!
Dressing well does not mean you have to spend thousands of dollars on name-brand, designer clothes. Dressing well is simply about wearing clean, well maintained clothing that matches and looks appropriate for the event. You can easily go to discount shops, resale shops, and shops that sell clothing that is marked down for discount to get clothing that will look great. I have also seen incredible deals on auction sites for clothes that were for sale for almost nothing. If someone loses or gains weight, they will need to sell their old wardrobe to buy new things. This gives you a chance to snap up gently used items for a fraction of the price. Oddly enough, seeing that the clothes look slightly ‘worn in’ can be a good thing – it makes it look as if you wear these things everyday, not like you only wear these types of clothes once a year. This makes you seem more important, you see?
Dressing the part makes all the difference in the world. When was the last time you went to the bank and met with a banker to discuss a loan? I would bet the banker was not wearing a tank top, shorts, and sandals. As the old saying says, “clothes make the man” – this applies to women too. If someone sees you wearing grubby, worn out clothes, and you look sloppy, you will seem as if you do not care about yourself. If you ever doubt the power of dress, have a look around next time you are out, and see if your opinion of someone is based on what they are wearing. When you see someone who is homeless, you know it right away based on their appearance. You can sum up someone based on what they wear – whether they dress like a gangster, a rock star, a businessman, a surfer, etc.
Make sure you update your nicer dress clothes once per year, if you are someone who rarely wears a suit or business attire. Nothing is worse than realizing that you are wearing a suit that was out of style 5 years ago. Observe what people are wearing at Church or other more formal events, as well as looking online or on TV to determine what is fashionable.
I hope this helps act as a friendly reminder to everyone – dress for the job you want, not the job you have, and always be dressed to impress. You never know when you will meet someone that can be an important part of your life. You could meet your future spouse at the grocery store, or your biggest client prospect at the lumber yard. Always put your best foot forward – you will look better, feel more confident, and attract more positive attention.

This is one that I think is important, yet I struggle with. I do make an effort to dress nicely for important events, however my everyday dress is lacking. I’ll have to get my butt in gear!!
