Secrets To Success – Part 10 – Procrastination
This is part 10 of my series on Secrets To Success. I would have done it sooner, but due to Procrastination I didn’t…no, I am kidding, today’s topic is procrastination. This will be the last of the secrets to success series. I hope you have found it interesting!
I hope this picture drives my point home. I think my favorite quote about procrastination is “Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.” To follow up from our previous topics, I think the last thing that keeps people from succeeding is procrastination. If you keep putting off until tomorrow what you should be doing now, you will never reach your goals. If you are thinking about losing weight, waiting until tomorrow, or next week, or the weekend won’t help. If you are hoping to start a website, or start investing, or learn a new skill, there is no reason to wait until later. Granted, you may not have all the money or supplies you need right now. However, do you know what you do have? The internet, if you are reading this blog post.
You can start researching your goal, what steps you will need to take, and start writing down the order in which you will need to achieve those steps to succeed. You can begin to compile the preliminary resources now, and spend your time preparing for the time when you do have the resources you need. There is no reason to put that off. The fact that you cannot complete the goal at this point is no excuse. So get out there, get started on achieving those goals, right now! Don’t procrastinate!
Procrastination can cause people to miss opportunities, end business friendships, or even cause problem in personal relationships, so do not procrastinate! Make a plan, and get ready to execute as soon as you can.

THANK YOU!! I was just recently thinking about this very issue. The fact that you brought it up means a lot to me, especially considering that procrastination is one of my worst and hardest to break habits. Very good post, and that picture reminds me of me so much it’s not even funny.
I should print it out and stick it on my ceiling so I see it every morning. Keep up the great work!
Take Care

Thanks for the series. It is a very good website and I am adding it in my favorites. Many of the ideas are things that we know, but you brought it all together with each part and then hit on the very reason that I don’t move forward with some of my ideas due to procrastination. We all need a little help getting our thoughts together sometimes and this series has sewn it up in a nutshell. Thanks! I can’t wait until the next series!
